Nissan has announced details for the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue, expected to hit showrooms in November. In fact, eager Rogue enthusiasts can take advantage of a special pre-sale early reservation initiative launched by Nissan. But if you’d like to learn a little bit more about this totally-redesigned-for-2014 model, be sure to read on.

First, a little bit of the back story: the Rogue was introduced in 2008 and has since quickly become a highly-favored vehicle in the compact SUV market. It is one of the best-selling Nissan models in the states, second only to the Nissan Altima. According to Fred Diaz, divisional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nissan North America,

“There is growing demand for compact SUVs around the world due to their user-friendly combination of right-sized exteriors, flexible interior utility and low environmental impact.”

Adding to that, Pierre Loing, Vice President, Product and Advanced Planning and Strategy, Nissan Americas, goes on to say,

“Rogue’s bold, dynamic new styling is going to generate tremendous attention. And once buyers take a look inside at the roomy, premium interior and experience the long list of affordable user-friendly technologies, we think they’ll be delighted.”

What are the characteristics of the new 2014 Rogue that these big-wigs at the top are referencing? After all, it’s us, the buyers, that have to be convinced and fall in love with the specs of a car we’ll potentially buy. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the features of the new Rogue.

We also know our drivers are concerned about fuel economy and the environmental impact of their driving. You’ll be happy to learn from Nissan that,

“Fuel economy is projected to be best-in-class 33 mpg highway for front-wheel drive CVT-equipped models (2014 EPA ratings not available at press time) – representing an 18 percent improvement in highway fuel economy versus the 2013 model. Rogue city fuel economy is rated at 26 mpg, while combined fuel economy is 28 mpg (front-wheel drive models). The new Rogue carries the distinctive “PURE DRIVE” badge, signifying Nissan’s commitment to developing more environmentally friendly transportation for every market.”

The new 2014 Rogue will be offered in three trims—S, SV, and SL. Each offer front-wheel drive or intuitive all-wheel drive. There are also several package options including the Family Package with 3rd row seating (S, SV), Moonroof Package (SV), and Premium Package (SV, SL).

The 2014 Nissan Rogue (not to be confused with the 2013 Nissan Rogue, now renamed the “Rogue Select”) has something to offer everyone. This new model is sure to bring you the quality you’ve come to expect in Nissan models, while also delivering new features that today’s drivers will find helpful to their busy lifestyles. We think Fred Diaz summed it up best when he said “Like every Nissan, Rogue is designed to energize owners’ lives by not only meeting their expected needs, but by going beyond the norm…”
